Very thin gps for the road : nuvi 1200, 1300 and 1400 series Garmin has just released new nuvi series. These new gps are 25% thinner than the old series. The thickness is only 1.6 cm, width 9.3 and height of 7.5 inches for the 1200 series. The 1300 series has a 4.3 inch screen. These dimensions of 12.2 x 7.5 x 1.6 inches. In both series, you are voice guided (with the street name),you can add points of interest, view pictures and record up to 1000 favorite addresses with a picture next to (geotagged photos). You can download several tourist sites (or other) from Garmin Connect in partnership with Google Panoramio (if you want other devices with photo browsing function: nuvi 2x5, 7x5 nuvi, nuvi 500 series, nuvi 800 series, nuvi 5000). You can also optimize your fuel costs by using the ecoRoute. The GPS will send you in the best way to save gasoline. This model also allows the recording of a track log to see on the map the route you followed. You can also transfer the route to your computer and view it on google maps (the file is in GPX format).
What really makes the difference in this series is that you can download CityXplorer maps to get the location of subway stations, trams and buses.
